I have had an exceptionally varied and exciting career. I am a McGill graduate in Education, Special Education and Business. I am well travelled and I have served at the Senior Executive level in a number of dynamic organizations. I have run companies and owned companies. Listing all that I have done, would not likely serve the purpose here. So instead of a Bio, this is my take on what we are doing:
I have always been passionate about the roles I have occupied and Impact Security is no different. When you put your child on the school bus, you should not have to worry that they might be harmed at school. The Bakery owner in Fergusson did not work her whole life to have some protester on a whim destoy her deam by kicking in her window, and ruining her life's work. Something has to be done, and nothing out there today stops intruders, Cameras and alarms do not stop forced-entry. Films and laminates delay intrusion but not long enough to be effective. DefenseLIte does what we say it does, we keep intuders out.
At Sandy Hook. the gunman shot out the front door, walked in, and six minutes later it was over with horrific results. A lot of the security systems on offer simply create the "impression of security." With restrained budgets, purchases are made that will not actually protect the building, and its occupants. DefenseLite is so budget sensitve that this need not be the cas any longer. Homeland Security advises that average police response times are now 22 minutes. So what do the occupants do for 22 minutes? My thought is we need to keep them out, That is what we do. "No entry, No Harm". Our first major projects involved protecting 800 doors and windows in the Sandy Hook School District. Those schools are now safe as are the many stores and businesses we protect around the US. None of the buildings we protect have been breached. DefenseLite, is "virtually invisible." as students should not have to go to schools, that look like armed camps, and stores need to look inviting, which they don't with metal grilles and shutters.
Our patents pending systems are unique in many ways. For example we use Defenselite Super Bond, not screws and bolts to secure our unbreakable security shields. DSB absorbs impact by virtue of its inner elastic core and its tenacious grip ensures that it stays in place even under attack.. Installation of our pre-engineered kits is performed nationally, whether the building is occupied or not. DefenseLIte works. We know that because it has been severely tested both in the lab, and in the real world.
DefenseLIte is a tool, and the more of it we install, the safer our buildings and occupants will be. Get in touch with us. Let us help you to keep intruders where they belong, OUT! As one promenent security authority said to me, "with the way things are now, if you own a store, and you want it to be there on Monday, you better buy DefenseLite" today.
Mike WeberExecutive Vice President & CLO
I earned my law and MBA degrees from the University of Florida. After graduating, my mentor and I established a securities brokerage that enabled us to raise capital for small businesses. I also have a business consulting background. My experiences have proved helpful in our Impact Security activities. DefenseLite is a unique product line that is different from any other security system. As such my legal background has allowed us to apply for several patents which are currently in process. We update our patents regularly as my Partner, Gary Trott, the inventor/designer, is constantly delivering innovations and concepts designed to protect people and property in new, effective and exciting ways. All of which are affordable.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, I also oversee the administrative, financial, and production aspects of the business to ensure customers received exactly what they ordered in a timely fashion. These are exciting times for us. We watch the what is going on in the world, and know that we are actually able to do something about it.
I started in the window film and glazing business after graduating from Boston College with honors. Over the past 20 years, my national sales & installation company - Window Film Depot - has tackled some of the most impressive and difficult architectural film installations ever completed in the US. I'm responsible for over 25,000 installations of our products in buildings and storefronts throughout the 50 states and beyond. In 2014, '15 and '16, Window Film Depot was named the #1 window film dealer in the US by Window Film Magazine..
Since the age of 15, I've been working 'in the field' and am an expert installer of our products. I have been named a "Dealer of the Year' on six occasions by 3M's Renewable Energy Division. I'm a professional trainer - over 500 tradesmen have taken my class on film installation techniques across the US and Canada. When clients ask, the solutions I recommend come from this experience. My entire organization is built around this hard earned 'street cred' that can't be bought or created by a fancy marketing department.
In 2016, together with a small group of glazing security experts, I helped launch DefenseLite - a revolutionary glass security system. Our aim was simple: innovate robust, affordable and easy to implement solutions for a new age of security glazing demands.
My strengths are listening to you, understanding your problem and then recommending the right retro-fit solution for your building or storefront.
I'm most proud that during difficult times like post 9/11 and the financial collapse of '08, the Team I brought together 'bucked up' and met real business challenges with character and fortitude.
My primary professional goal is to continue to lead our family business through the challenges ahead with respect for our loyal employees and valued customers while having fun along the way.

Robert (Bob) TorokProduction Manager
Robert has 25+ years of management experience, business start-ups, P&L responsibility and procurement knowledge.
Robert began his career with one of the largest paper converters in the US; Rittenhouse Paper. During his 23 year tenure with Rittenhouse he was recognized for his ability for continuous improvement. As a result, Robert held numerous management positions including Corporate VP of Operations with complete P &L responsibility for the most profitable plant out of seven locations including Canada and Mexico.
After relocating to Florida in 1998 from the Midwest, he was sought out by an up and coming converter to build their business from scratch. Robert most recently repeated this success with a local manufacturing brokerage services company. He migrated the company from contract manufacturing to in-house, by creating two locations strategically located. Again, Robert repeated his success by creating something from nothing.
In his new role with Impact, Bob will be instrumental in enhancing DefenseLIte/BulletShield production processes, and ensuring high-quality standards. He will be actively involved in managing additional staff as we continue to grow.
